Surfers Paradise, Currumbin & Coolangatta

Sunday 15/3/15

Best Beginners & Kids Surf Spots*

Try Currumbin Inlet & Greenmount Beach inside sandbars for whitewater wave surfing close to shore, avoiding where other surfers are riding waves - expect some strong currents today.

Big waves on open beaches, best avoided by inexperienced surfers.

Remember, catching green (unbroken) waves is often easier on mid to high tides (less nosedives) or if the waves are too big or challenging, surf whitewater waves close to shore, which is often best on mid tides in waist deep water (or low tide for little kids).

Click the tide tab on the charts above for more info on tide times & heights today.

* Some of these surf spots are not patrolled by lifeguards. Remember to always surf safely & practise good surfing etiquette.
