Winter Special & Messi Dreadlocks

The 10th of July 2014 was a special day for experienced surfers. The waves were so good, even the Argentine football star Lionel Messi grew some dreadlocks & flew into Sydney to catch a few before his World Cup Final this weekend.

May The Fourth Be With You

While Stars Wars fans were celebrating their love of Chewbacca & Hans Solo today, outdoors the planets aligned in Sydney town with sunshine & a new swell that provided fun waves for surfers of all levels. Hope you got a few...

Let there be light!

Just another autumn Saturday morning on Sydney's Northern Beaches. A small E swell and light offshore winds combined to delivered fun peaky waves for the weekend crowds who were also treated to a beautiful, moody sky.

Sydney's 1st Autumn Swell of 2014 - 16th of March

After months of small summer waves, great for kids and beginners, a big easterly swell finally arrived today to break the wave drought for swell starved, experienced surfers of Sydney and surrounds who were buzzing around beaches early, searching for their first high energy wave fix of the year.

Truth is, the surf conditions were tough early with lots of water moving around and wobbly waves on the high tide. Rough stuff, with a few diamonds in the mix but definitely not a good day for learning to surf.

Summer Surf Fun - Christmas to early January 2014

School holidays is on with Australia's coastline jam packed with holidaying families and friends enjoying long days relaxing at the beach before reality ramps back up for 2014. There's been the usual early summer small wave fare, perfect for beginners, kids and loggers around much of the nation (not so perfect for short boarders, although Vicco has seen some bigger swells) and with the water warming up as we head into late January there should be plenty more summer surf fun to come. Enjoy.

Mid Week Surf Fun - 25 to 29 November 2013

Heavy rain and strong onshore winds saw much of the east coast drenched, with poor quality waves at all but the most sheltered corners of beaches tucked away from the wind. On the flip side, much of West and South OZ were blessed with sunny skies, light winds and fun waves all week...
